"...Very irritating puzzle. Answers impossible to get without that specific knowledge, since no help is given in clue. Who knows what monster was killed (4D), or a hamlet in Gelderland (33D), or a village in Czech Republic (36A)? Then, unforgivable for me, are the grammar mistakes. 19A calls for a noun, the answer is a verb; same for 20D; 14D calls for a singular answer. Who can find the answer to 2D without mention that it is French? And then all those obscure acronyms just to fill in the squares. Sorry. As you see, I really didn't like this puzzle. A uselessly difficult puzzle with no redeeming features...."
